Shivam Dube played a sensational knock against New Zealand, joining Rohit Sharma in an elite T20I record list.
The fourth T20I between India and New Zealand took place on January 28 at Visakhapatnam. New Zealand batted first and scored 215 runs, setting a tough target for India.
India fought hard but fell short, managing only 165 runs. New Zealand won by 50 runs, securing their first victory in this series.
Though India lost, Shivam Dube’s performance was absolutely brilliant.
Dube’s Explosive Show
Batting in the middle order, Dube hammered 65 runs from just 23 balls. His powerful hitting nearly made the impossible chase possible.
The highlight came in the 12th over against Ish Sodhi. Dube went wild, smashing three sixes and two fours to score 28 runs in that single over.
This achievement put him alongside Rohit Sharma in T20I history.

Both Rohit and Dube now share the third spot with 28 runs each in a single over.

After the match, captain Suryakumar Yadav explained the team strategy. They deliberately played six batsmen to challenge themselves and give World Cup squad members match practice.
