Ladki Bahin Yojana: The Maharashtra Government has started a new helpline to help women facing problems with the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme.
Women experiencing e-KYC errors or payment delays for their monthly ₹1,500 benefit can now call 181 for immediate support.
What Caused the Problem?
Around 24 lakh women were wrongly marked as ineligible due to a confusing question in the Marathi e-KYC form. The question about government employment confused many beneficiaries, who accidentally selected the wrong option and lost their benefits.
Additionally, 55 lakh women were removed from the scheme for missing the December 31, 2025 deadline.
How to Get Help
Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare announced two ways to fix these issues:
1. Call 181 Helpline – Get help with Aadhaar linking, OTP problems, and application status checks.
2. Door-to-Door Verification – Nearly one lakh Anganwadi workers are visiting homes to correct form errors directly in the system.

Make sure you meet these requirements:
- Family income below ₹2.5 lakh per year
- Age between 21-65 years
- Aadhaar-linked bank account enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer
Minister Tatkare assured that trained operators are ready to provide step-by-step guidance to resolve all technical issues and restore suspended payments.
