Ashok Leyland Sales January 2026: 27% Jump Led by Strong Domestic Trucks and LCVs

Ashok Leyland sales January 2026 kicked off the year on a high note. The company sold 21,920 units (domestic plus exports) in January, up 27% from 17,213 units a year ago.

Domestic demand really drove the numbers. Total home sales climbed 31% to 20,079 units. Exports dipped slightly by 2.4% to 1,841 units, but the overall picture stays positive.

Trucks pulled the heaviest weight. Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) trucks jumped 43% to 11,800 units. Domestic truck sales alone surged 45% to 11,359 units. This points to busy infrastructure work and stronger logistics across India.

Buses, on the other hand, struggled. M&HCV bus sales fell 22% to 2,420 units. Domestic bus numbers dropped even more, by 27%.

Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) kept the momentum going. Total LCV sales rose 32% to 7,700 units. At home, LCVs grew 33% to 7,246 units, thanks to steady e-commerce and last-mile delivery needs.
