Silver Rate Today 5 February 2026: Sharp Fall on MCX, Retail Prices Hold Steady

Silver rate today 5 February 2026 took a big hit. Heavy selling pushed MCX futures down hard. March 2026 contract trades at around ₹2,52,300 per kg – down 6-8% from yesterday. It even touched an intraday low of ₹2,42,006, close to a 10% lower circuit.

Open was ₹2,58,096. Previous close stood at ₹2,68,850. Right now, MCX silver sits at a clear discount to physical retail rates. That gap comes from strong profit booking and pressure in the futures market.
