His company runs multiple YouTube channels featuring Haryanvi, Punjabi, Rajasthani, devotional songs, and ghazals. The numbers speak for themselves – his Haryanvi channel boasts 4.75 million subscribers, while the Punjabi channel has 3.81 million fans.

Recently, Gem Tunes expanded into original digital content with the YouTube series “Stone Paper Scissor,” featuring content creator Shreya Kalra. The label also launched singer Shahbaz Badesha with his debut track “Fame Dekh.” On Instagram alone, Rao commands a following of 1.3 million people.

While Rao’s business achievements are impressive, his name has repeatedly appeared in police files and court documents. In 2025, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at 10 of his properties across Delhi, Gurugram, and Rohtak in a money laundering investigation. Officials seized five luxury cars, bank lockers, ₹17 lakh in cash, along with numerous documents and digital devices.

The troubles don’t stop there. In 2024, Rao faced serious allegations in connection with a businessman’s murder in Rohtak. According to reports, he allegedly fled to the Middle East after the incident to escape police action.

Over the years, authorities in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have filed more than 15 cases against Rao and his team. The charges range from extortion and fraud to illegal activities and intimidation. His name even surfaced in two high-profile shooting incidents – one at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s house in August last year (claimed by the Himanshu Bhau gang) and another at singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s residence.

Rao’s Side of the Story

Despite these serious allegations, Rao Inderjit has consistently maintained his innocence. In a recent interview, he firmly denied being a gangster, claiming instead that he’s being deliberately portrayed as one. According to him, he’s the victim of a conspiracy because he repeatedly raised complaints against certain police officials, and now they’re targeting him in revenge.

So who exactly is Rao Inderjit Singh? He’s a successful music entrepreneur who built a multi-million subscriber empire in regional music.
