The Wuthering Heights box office collection has made a thunderous start in 2026. Directed by Emerald Fennell and starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, the film earned $83 million worldwide in just four days, making it the biggest release of the year so far.

Domestic and International Numbers

Domestically, the Wuthering Heights box office collection reached $38 million after a strong Valentine’s Day and Presidents’ Day holiday weekend. The film opened across 3,682 locations and earned around $14 million on Saturday alone, riding the Valentine’s Day wave perfectly.

Internationally, the film collected $45 million across 70-plus territories. The United Kingdom was the top market with a £7.7 million ($10.3 million) opening — Warner Bros.’ biggest UK Saturday since Barbie. Italy and Australia also performed well, adding $4.4 million and $4.3 million respectively.

What’s Driving the Numbers?

Female audiences made up 76% of ticket buyers, drawn in by the chemistry between Robbie and Elordi and Fennell’s bold visual style. Despite a mixed “B” CinemaScore, the film easily beat its competition at the domestic box office.

Road to Profitability

With an $80 million production budget already recovered, the Wuthering Heights box office collection needs around $200 million to break even theatrically. Big markets like China and Japan have yet to open, keeping the outlook very promising.
