Dishant Yagnik Domestic Background

Dishant Yagnik was born on June 22, 1983, in Banswara, Rajasthan, and went on to build a long and respectable domestic cricket career. A left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman, he represented Rajasthan across formats from the 2002–03 season until 2017. During this period, Yagnik played 50 first-class, 41 List A, and 56 T20 matches, earning a reputation as a reliable team player and a sharp cricketing mind.

In the IPL, Yagnik featured for Rajasthan Royals between 2011 and 2015, appearing in 25 matches. While his IPL career was modest in terms of numbers, his understanding of the game and work ethic laid a strong foundation for his transition into coaching.

Successful Coaching Journey

After retiring from professional cricket, Yagnik moved into coaching and quickly established himself as a specialist in fielding. He served as Rajasthan Royals’ fielding coach from 2018 to 2025, working closely with both Indian and international players. Under his guidance, Rajasthan Royals were consistently regarded as one of the sharper fielding units in the league.

In addition to his IPL role, Yagnik has also been involved in domestic coaching, currently guiding Jammu & Kashmir’s senior men’s team, further enhancing his credentials as a modern coach.

Joining a Star-Studded KKR Support Staff
