Gandhi Talks Box Office Collection Day 1: Silent Film Opens at ₹1.50 Crore

Gandhi Talks Box Office Collection Day 1 figures are now coming in as the film completes its first day in cinemas. The silent thriller and black comedy was released on January 30, 2026, to mark the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Since the film released just yesterday, official box office numbers are still being verified. Based on early trade reports and theater tracking, Gandhi Talks earned an estimated ₹1.20 crore to ₹1.80 crore on its opening day. On average, the Day 1 collection is pegged at around ₹1.50 crore nett across India.

Occupancy on Friday stayed on the lower side, with theaters reporting 15–20% attendance. Morning shows were slow, but evening shows in big-city multiplexes saw slightly better turnout. This trend is common for experimental and silent films, which usually grow through word-of-mouth.

The film’s cast has helped bring in initial audiences. Popular actors Vijay Sethupathi and Arvind Swami remain the main crowd pull, especially in Tamil Nadu.

Viewers are also praising A. R. Rahman’s background score, calling it one of the strongest elements of the film.
