Gold Rate Today 7 February 2026: Gold prices in India witnessed a significant recovery today, with 24-karat gold trading between ₹1,53,700 and ₹1,56,800 per 10 grams across major cities.

Chennai recorded the highest rates at ₹1,55,450 for 24K gold, while Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune quoted ₹1,53,700. Delhi and Ahmedabad stood marginally higher at ₹1,53,850 and ₹1,53,750 respectively.

For 22-karat gold, Chennai leads at ₹1,42,490 per 10 grams, followed by Delhi at ₹1,41,040. Most other metros are aligned around ₹1,40,890.

The uptick comes after intense profit-booking following record highs above ₹1.80 lakh in late January. The MCX gold futures contract for April 2026 has stabilized near ₹1,53,710, signaling market consolidation.

Silver remains steady at approximately ₹2,749 per 10 grams across major cities.

Market experts attribute today’s recovery to renewed buying interest at corrected levels and safe-haven demand amid global uncertainties. The current dip may present opportunities for both retail buyers and long-term investors looking to enter the market.
