Hyundai Motor India December 2025 Sales Report: Hyundai Motor India, one of the country’s leading automobile manufacturers, posted a steady sales performance in December 2025, driven largely by its strong SUV portfolio.
While the company’s overall volumes remained almost unchanged year-on-year, key models such as the Creta, Venue, and Exter continued to attract buyers and reinforce Hyundai’s position in the competitive Indian car market.
According to the latest sales data, Hyundai sold a total of 42,416 units in December 2025. This figure is nearly identical to the 42,408 units sold in December 2024, indicating consistent demand despite growing competition and changing customer preferences.

Hyundai Creta Leads from the Front
The Hyundai Creta once again emerged as the brand’s best-selling SUV for the month. The popular mid-size SUV recorded sales of 13,154 units, marking a 4 percent year-on-year growth compared to 12,608 units sold in December 2024. Creta’s continued success highlights its strong brand recall, feature-rich offering, and wide appeal among Indian SUV buyers.
Venue Holds Second Position
In second place is the Hyundai Venue, which remains one of the most affordable and popular compact SUVs in the country. The model sold 10,332 units in December 2025, showing a modest 1 percent annual growth over the 10,265 units sold during the same period last year. Venue’s practicality and value-for-money positioning continue to resonate with urban and first-time SUV buyers.
Exter Shows Healthy Growth
The Hyundai Exter secured the third spot on the sales chart. The compact SUV registered sales of 5,612 units, reflecting a 6 percent year-on-year increase compared to 5,270 units sold in December 2024. The Exter’s youthful design and modern features have helped it gain popularity in a short span of time.
Aura Delivers Strongest Growth
The Hyundai Aura ranked fourth and delivered one of the most impressive performances in Hyundai’s lineup. With 4,925 units sold, the compact sedan recorded a substantial 28 percent growth over the 3,852 units sold in December 2024, indicating renewed interest in the segment.
Grand i10 Nios Sees Decline
Despite a dip in demand, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios remained among the company’s top five models. The hatchback sold 4,010 units, reflecting an 11 percent decline from 4,489 units sold in December 2024.
Other Models and Overall Outlook
Beyond the top five, Hyundai sold 3,339 units of the i20, 579 units of the Alcazar, 406 units of the Verna, and 69 units of the IONIQ 5 in December 2025. The Tucson, however, did not record any sales during the month.
Overall, Hyundai’s December 2025 sales performance underscores the brand’s strong SUV-led strategy, with stable volumes and select models delivering consistent growth in a competitive market.
