Melania North American Box Office: Brett Ratner’s Docu-Film Surpasses America: Imagine The World Without Her

Melania North American Box Office: Melania, directed by Brett Ratner, is slowly making headlines at the North American box office after crossing a notable milestone. The Amazon MGM documentary-style film, based on the life of Melania Trump, has now outgrossed America: Imagine the World Without Her, the controversial 2014 political documentary by Dinesh D’Souza.

Released on January 30, the film has earned about $14.9 million worldwide so far, with North America contributing nearly the entire total at $14.7 million. Overseas earnings remain limited, adding only around $176,000 due to a small international release. Despite a modest $40 million budget and limited marketing push, the movie managed a strong debut weekend of nearly $11 million.

However, its theatrical journey has seen mixed momentum. The screen count initially expanded in the second weekend but dropped by almost 800 screens by the third weekend after a sharp 67% decline in collections. Even with this slowdown, the film’s domestic earnings have now moved past D’Souza’s earlier documentary, which collected $14.4 million in North America.

Interestingly, audience reactions have been far more positive than critics’ reviews. While critics gave it a very low Tomatometer score, viewers have shown strong support, highlighting the film’s polarizing reception and continued discussion among audiences.
