Oscar 2026 Nominations Full List: The 98th Academy Awards nominations dropped today, January 22, 2026, shaking up Hollywood with a historic record-breaker and plenty of surprises. Ryan Coogler’s genre-blending thriller Sinners smashed the all-time high for most nominations by a single film, earning an astonishing 16 nods—surpassing the previous record of 14 shared by classics like All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2016). Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another followed strong with 13 nominations, while several other films landed in the double digits.
The nominations were announced live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater by actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman. The ceremony itself is set for Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, hosted once again by Conan O’Brien and airing live on ABC (and streaming on Hulu).
This year’s race includes the inaugural Best Casting category, a long-awaited addition marking the first new competitive Oscar since Animated Feature in 2001.
