Skoda Slavia Facelift: Skoda India is gearing up to launch an updated version of its popular sedan, the Slavia. In a recent conversation with NDTV Automate, company representatives confirmed that the Skoda Slavia facelift will hit Indian roads by late 2026, packed with attractive upgrades and luxury additions.
What’s New in the Design?
The refreshed Slavia will receive a complete makeover to make it look more stylish and modern. The front of the car will feature a brand-new vertical grille design, along with redesigned headlights and fog lamps that give it a sharper appearance.
At the front, you’ll notice a web-pattern mesh design on the bumper’s air intake section. The back of the car gets fresh taillights and an updated bumper, making the overall look more appealing and contemporary.
Enhanced Interior and Luxury Touches
Step inside, and you’ll find a completely refreshed cabin. Skoda plans to introduce new seat covers, an improved touchscreen infotainment system, and a modern digital dashboard display.
The most exciting news for buyers is the addition of premium features. The facelift model is expected to come with a panoramic sunroof, which is one of the most desired features among Indian customers. Top variants might also include rear seat massage function, bringing comfort levels typically found in higher-priced vehicles.
Skoda Slavia Facelift Engine and Performance Details
As this is just a facelift and not a complete redesign, the engine options will likely remain unchanged. Here’s what you can expect:
| Engine Type | Power | Gearbox Options |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0L Turbo Petrol | 115 horsepower | 6-speed Manual or Automatic |
| 1.5L Turbo Petrol | 150 horsepower | 7-speed DSG Automatic |
Reports suggest Skoda might add an 8-speed automatic transmission option, similar to their Kushaq SUV, giving buyers more choices.

Competition in the Sedan Market
Once launched, the updated Slavia will go head-to-head with strong competitors like the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City. With these new features and improvements, Skoda aims to attract more customers and strengthen its presence in India’s sedan market, which continues to be important despite SUVs gaining popularity.
