The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 9: The box office journey of The Raja Saab has turned out to be far more challenging than initially expected. Headlined by Prabhas, the fantasy horror-comedy opened with strong pre-release hype and massive expectations, thanks to its scale, genre blend, and reported production budget of around ₹400 crore. However, nine days into its theatrical run, the film is still struggling to make a significant impact at the global box office.
Despite hopes of a solid opening weekend, The Raja Saab failed to sustain momentum after its initial days. Mixed-to-negative word of mouth played a crucial role in slowing down collections, especially when audiences were presented with alternative theatrical options. The buzz fizzled out quickly, affecting both domestic and overseas footfalls.
Overseas Performance Nears a Standstill
International markets, where Prabhas traditionally commands a loyal fanbase, have also not delivered the expected numbers. After nine days, the film has collected an estimated ₹33.25 crore gross overseas. Trade reports suggest that the overseas run is nearing its end, with the ₹50 crore milestone now clearly out of reach. Markets like North America, usually considered safe zones for Prabhas films, showed only limited traction this time.
Domestic Box Office: Slow Growth Continues
On the home front, The Raja Saab added just ₹3 crore net on Day 9, despite the weekend advantage. This takes the total India net collection to ₹136.75 crore, which converts to approximately ₹161.36 crore gross. The film was widely expected to cross the ₹200 crore worldwide mark within its first weekend, but that benchmark remains unmet even after more than a week in cinemas.
As of Day 9, the film’s worldwide gross stands at ₹194.61 crore, leaving it just over ₹5 crore short of the ₹200 crore club. However, with declining occupancy and minimal growth trends, even reaching that milestone appears to be a slow and uncertain process.
